Tuesday closures include Bend-La Pine, Redmond schools

The snowstorm that brought Central Oregon to a standstill on Monday will continue to affect school districts, government offices and other services today.
Bend-La Pine Schools will be canceled Tuesday, along with all evening activities.
The Redmond School District and Redmond Proficiency Academy will be closed. Oregon State University-Cascades will remain closed as well. All classes and operations are canceled.
The Sisters, Crook County and Jefferson County school districts also have canceled classes today
Meals on Wheels will not be delivered in Bend, Sisters or La Pine on Tuesday. The senior lunch at the Sisters Community Church has been canceled as well. Meals on Wheels clients have been advised to use the emergency meals provided in late 2018.
Bend fixed route and Dial-A-Ride services will operate from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm on a modified schedule, as will Community Connector services and rural Dial-A-Ride. Mt. Bachelor will continue to operate its regular schedule.
The Bend Park and Recreation District will keep the Bend Senior Center, district office and Art Station closed today. School-based programs, including Kids Inc., are canceled as well.
The district tentatively plans to open Juniper Swim and Fitness Center and The Pavilion at 3 p.m. for regularly scheduled evening activities.
OR 58 remains closed between Lowell and Oakridge because of numerous downed trees. The Oregon Department of Transportation hopes to have the road open later today.
