The Transportation Security Administration will enroll travelers in its Precheck program for the next three weeks at Redmond Airport, for those that want a faster security experience at airports.
Those interested can sign up online at www.tsa.gov/precheck and set a time between March 11 and March 29 to visit the airport to enroll in person, according to a TSA press release. The enrollment center will be open from 8 a.m. to noon and 1 to 5 p.m.
Applicants must bring a current U.S. passport or their driver’s license and a certified copy of their birth certificate. The application fee is $85, which must be paid at the time of the appointment, and the Precheck acceptance is good for five years. According to TSA spokeswoman Lorie Dankers, the enrollment process typically takes less than 10 minutes.
TSA Precheck-eligble travelers can use a separate security lane at more than 200 airports around the country, where they can leave on shoes, belts and light outerwear. Children under the age of 12 whose guardians are enrolled in Precheck can use the lane for free.
