When it came to Where to GO! in Central Oregon for a barbershop experience, readers picked Bond Street Barber Shop in downtown Bend, home to a staff of 12 barbers. “We’re open from 5 in the morning till 7 at night, for the most part, and it takes a lot of people to cover (that). It’s busy. It’s not often that I go through there that there’s a chair open,” said owner Troy Batson, who believes the victory can be credited to “the quality of our barbers and the experience.” Part of that experience: complimentary beverages. “We have Boneyard on tap. We always have RPM and another Boneyard product, and we have bloody marys on Saturdays, and tequila sunrises the rest of time as well.”
