Where to GO! in Central Oregon for a burger

Bendites like to keep it local for their burgers, which gave Bend Burger Company the edge in the Where to GO! for a Burger category for the third year in a row. Owners Jon and Kristy Hayes opened the original downtown location in 2008 and have maintained their success for 11 years thanks to staying fresh and local when it comes to ingredients, Jon said.

Today, Bend Burger Company has two locations: Third Street in Bend and Sixth Street in Redmond. (The downtown location closed last year after the Hayeses purchased the Third Street building, Jon said.) Menu items are named after recognizable Central Oregon landmarks and places, and popular burgers include the Broken Top (bacon and blue cheese) and the Mirror Pond (grilled onions and mushrooms).

“(We) just keep trying to put on a great product for everybody and support our community,” Jon said.
