For the second year in a row Baldy’s has been ahead of the competition when it comes to the delectable and you’re-going-to-need-a-few-napkins-to-eat-this kind of barbecue. The family-owned and -operated restaurant has expanded to three locations since first opening its doors in 2005. One of its secrets? All meats have been slow-smoked for up to 16 hours using several different woods to achieve their optimum flavor.
The fun, family atmosphere may be one reason why Central Oregonians are drawn to this barbecue joint, or maybe it’s crowd favorites such as baby back ribs, pulled pork and beef brisket that keeps the wet wipe industry thriving.
