Anniversary: John and Diane Hensley

John and Diane (Nicoll) Hensley, of Bend, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a trip to the Panama Canal and Central America and a reception for family and friends in July.
The couple were married in 1969, in Hanau, Germany, and shortly after purchased a Volkswagen van from the factory and traveled through Europe and Scandinavia for three months.
They have three children, Adam (and Heather), of Beaverton; Erin (and Pat) O’Brien, of Bend; and Brett (and Jenn) of Salem; and seven grandchildren.
Mr. Hensley was a teacher at Bend High School and retired in 2004; he owns Riverbend Video Connections. Mrs. Hensley was the executive director of special education for the Bend-La Pine school district and retired in 2005. She is the connections consultant at Riverbend Video Connections.
They have lived in Central Oregon for 33 years.
