General Contractor: TEC Equipment
Architect: TEC Equipment
Engineer: Hickman, Williams & Associates Inc., Bend
Details: Portland-based TEC Equipment is working its 28th heavy truck and trailer dealership near U.S. Highway 97 in Redmond.
The 27,000-square-foot building near Home Depot will include 14 service bays, body shop and paint booth, according to the company.
The dealership is on 6.8 acres owned by the Thompson family, also owners of TEC Equipment. The company broke ground in October and hopes to finish by late summer, or at the latest, fall, said Drew Blevins, vice president of marketing.
TEC Equipment has dealerships along the West Coast and is now entering secondary markets and adding locations to provide more convenience to customers, Blevins said. The company is also building in Arlington, Washington, north of Seattle, to complement the dealership on the south side of the metro area, he said.
In Redmond, TEC Equipment will sell new Mack and Volvo trucks and Wabash trailers, as well as used trucks and trailers and offer leasing, financing and insurance services, according to a company press release.
