GEARHART — Bend’s Rosie Cook edged two-time defending champion Gretchen Johnson to win the Women’s Division at the 75th Oregon Golf Association Tournament of Champions this past weekend.

Because of rain, the planned two-day event was decided by a single 18-hole round Sunday at Gearhart Golf Links on the northern Oregon Coast.

Cook, playing out of Juniper Golf Course in Redmond, carded a 1-under-par 71 to defeat Johnson, of Portland, by a single stroke. Cook’s round featured an eagle on the par-4, 280-yard hole No. 2, where she holed her second shot from 80 yards out.

Another Bend golfer, Olivia Loberg, shot a 1-over 73 to tie for third place with Portland’s Samantha Miller.
