Lee Loving, Ridgeview High School’s principal, was named the 2019 Oregon High School Principal of the Year by two statewide school administrative organizations Thursday.

Loving, who has been Ridgeview’s principal since the school opened in 2012, was selected by the Oregon Association of Secondary School Administrators and the Confederation of Oregon School Administrators due to his dedication to students, according to a Redmond School District press release. He has also partnered with various organizations such as the City of Redmond, Central Oregon Community College and Southern Oregon University which have provided internship opportunities and early college courses for Ridgeview’s students.

“The Ridgeview High School community is the beneficiary of his enthusiasm and dedication in making Ridgeview an incredible place to learn,” Superintendent Mike McIntosh said of Loving in the press release. “The school feels like a huge family that takes pride in both individual and schoolwide accomplishments.”

Loving will be honored at the Oregon school administrator annual conference in Seaside in June, as well as the National Association for Secondary Principals Conference in Boston in July, the release stated.
