New executive director for Bend Boys & Girls Clubs

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Bend will have a new executive director starting May 8: Juliana Williams, who previously served as the program and operations director if In Our Backyard, a national nonprofit based in Central Oregon.

“Boys & Girls Clubs of Bend is incredibly pleased to welcome Juliana Williams as the new executive director,” said Son Rae, Boys & Girls Clubs board chair in a statement. “Juliana has a passion to serve kids in our community. That passion coupled with her ability to connect and lead makes a perfect match to further the club’s mission to deliver life-changing outcomes for our community and its kids.”

Boys & Girls Clubs runs after-school and summer activities for children at its downtown Bend facility. The organization conducted a nationwide search for a new executive director, according to a press release.

Prior to her work with In Our Backyard, Williams was part of the community relations program at global eyewear company Oakley, Inc.

“I am humbled and grateful to join the family at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Bend as we celebrate 25 years of inspiring young people to reach their full potential,” Williams said in a statement.
