Median home price hits $463K

Bend area home prices rose again in April to a median of $463,000, according to the latest report from Beacon Appraisal Group in Redmond.

The April median sales price represents a new high-water mark, last set in January at $450,000, according to the Beacon report.

The median sales price rose 4 percent from $445,000 in March. Year-over-year, the median sales price is up 11.56 percent from $415,000 in April 2018.

Sales volume, however, was lower than a year ago. The Bend area saw 177 single-family homes sold in April, down 6.8 percent from 190 the same month last year.

Homes sold in April spent an average 77 days on the market, similar to last year.

In Redmond, the median sales prices of single-family homes was $326,000, up 3.8 percent from $314,000 in March.

The median sales price is 12.8 percent above $289,000 in April 2018.

Sales volume in Redmond was similar to a year ago with 85 homes sold. Homes sold in April spent an average 98 days on the market, compared with 72 days a year ago.
