Two Bend residents were rescued Saturday evening after becoming lost while hiking near Tumalo Falls.
Shortly after 5 p.m., Kenneth Deen, 24, called 911 to say that he and his friend Sonja McLean, 41, had become lost after losing the trail in the snow. A Deschutes County Search and Rescue team located Deen and McLean, who had started a fire and were uninjured, according to a Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office press release.
Deen and McLean were guided back to the Tumalo Falls Trailhead, where they had parked. They required no further help.
