The Bend North Little League All-Stars shut out Hood River 12-0 Thursday to win the District 5 majors (12-and-under) baseball championship.

Playing at Juniper Park in Madras, Bend North went 4-0 in the double-elimination tournament held June 22-27, outscoring its opponents 49-4.

The team, coached by Todd Sheets, Chris Manfredi and Joe Kennedy, is made up of All-Stars Slater De Brun, Will Goodman, Camden Hartlaub, Cash Hattenhauer, Caiman Jensen, William Jenson, Jace Johnson, Brady Kennedy, Kayden Kuhnhausen, Will Manfredi, Grayson Moore, Landen Schwerbel and Charlie Sheets.

Bend North advances to the Little League state tournament, to be held July 12-18 at Skyview Middle School in Bend. The Bend All-Stars will face the other seven district champions in a double-elimination tournament, from which the winner advances to regionals in San Bernardino, California, in August.
