Before one set of Braun brothers visits Bend, the city will welcome another set at Seventh Mountain Resort on Friday. To clarify: Austin, Texas, alt-country group Micky and the Motorcars is led by brothers Micky and Gary Braun, who also are brothers to one-time Bendites Willy and Cody Braun of Reckless Kelly, which returns to Bend to play the Tower Theatre in November (whew). Micky and the Motorcars has followed a similar trajectory as Reckless Kelly: Both bands formed in Idaho before moving to Austin (in Reckless Kelly’s case, via a stay in Bend), and both bands are stalwarts on the Texas alt-country and roots-rock scenes. The Motorcars released seventh album “Hearts from Above,” a re-energizing affair that saw the band welcome new members while further honing its rough-and-ready sound, in 2014; expect plenty from that set at Seventh Mountain Resort.
