Outdoor City USA will premiere Sept. 13-15 at Mt. Bachelor ski area, according to a news release. The three-day, multi-sport outdoor festival will include cycling, running, hiking, climbing, and how-to demonstrations for outdoor enthusiasts of all ages and levels.

Some events currently scheduled for Outdoor City USA include cyclocross racing, mountain bike racing, downhill racing, kids balance-bike racing, 5K and 10K trail races, a gravel-cycling event, a climbing-wall competition, and more.

The festival centerpiece is a Saturday evening party held in conjunction with the elite twilight Cross Cascades cyclocross race.

According to the release, Outdoor City USA was founded by Bend’s Beverly Lucas, a bicycle industry veteran, businesswoman and mother.

“Central Oregon, specifically Bend and Mt. Bachelor, is the best possible place for a multisport festival that appeals to outdoors enthusiasts of all levels and ages,” Lucas said. “It’s what we do here all the time, and it’s a lifestyle we want to share.”

Registration for all events opens this Friday on the Outdoor City USA website. For more information about Outdoor City USA or to register for the festival’s events, visit www.outdoorcityusa.com.
