Fresh off a multiyear, 30th-anniversary tour, which landed at Volcanic Theatre Pub in July 2018, The Supersuckers are back to what they do best: proselytizing about the “evil powers of rock ’n’ roll.” The tour behind the Seattle group’s latest release, last year’s snarling, sleazy “Suck It,” will play the penultimate Munch & Music show of the season in Drake Park on Thursday. Following a momentous 2015 that saw frontman Eddie Spaghetti beat a cancer diagnosis, longtime guitarist Dan “Thunder” Bolton’s departure and a return to country-rock with the album “Holdin’ the Bag,” the monumental riffs and party-hearty lyrics of “Suck It” were no doubt a welcome reassurance for longtime fans. Though Munch & Music is known for its variety each year, a band as raucous as The Supersuckers is a rare treat for the free outdoor series. Expect the park to get rowdy.
