Two years ago, country rock singer-songwriter Chris Janson released his second album, “Everybody.” This year, Janson narrowed his focus to “Real Friends,” the title of his upcoming third record. (Or maybe “Everybody” became his “Real Friends” — not so far-fetched considering the album’s singles, “Fix a Drink” and “Drunk Girl,” hit the Top 10 on Billboard’s U.S. Country Airplay chart.) Either way, Janson — also known for co-writing singles with Tim McGraw, LoCash, Randy Houser and more — furthers his outlaw-tinged, rough-and-tumble sound on the three singles released so far, including rocker “Say About Me,” the sunny “Good Vibes” and the working man’s anthem “Waitin’ on 5.” If that sounds like a good fit for Bend, well, you’re in luck: Janson will play Oregon Spirit Distillers on Thursday, with Ray Fulcher opening.
Chris Janson, with Ray Fulcher: 7 p.m. Thursday, doors open at 6 p.m.; sold out; Oregon Spirit Distillers, 740 NE First St., Bend; oregonspiritdistillers.com, bendticket.com or 541-382-0002.
