Seattle-based Delta blues rocker Brett Benton, who played Spoken Moto in July for its third anniversary, will return to the venue Thursday with his guitar/drums duo to deliver a second dose of swampy slide guitar and roaring vocals. The Alabama-born songwriter grew up with his parents’ and grandparents’ country blues records, eventually stepping behind a drum kit as a teenager. In his early 20s, he switched to guitar, and in 2016 he left the South to bring his music around the country, eventually landing in Seattle. His debut studio album, “You Got to Pray,” released on Seattle label Knick Knack Records, brings modern production values to old-school stompers such as “Last Time” and “You Can Stay Gone.”

Brett Benton: 7 p.m. Thursday; free; Spoken Moto, 310 SW Industrial Way, Bend; spokenmoto.com or 541-306-6689.
