Local pro in lead at PNW Pro-Am golf event

Jared Lambert, a PGA professional at Meadow Lakes in Prineville, was part of the first-place team after the first round of the Pacific Northwest Pro-Amateur Championship golf tournament Thursday at Pronghorn Resort.

Lambert and amateur Alex Plusquellec of Tualatin Country Club fired a 10-under-par 62 in the four-ball competition on the Fazio course. They enter Friday’s final round on the Nicklaus course with a one-stroke lead over the team of Brian Thornton, PGA professional at Meridian Valley in Kent, Washington, and amateur Todd Densley, also of Meridian Valley.
