New measles cases prompt alert from health officials

Health officials who reported two new cases of measles said others may have been exposed to the disease if they visited certain businesses in the Eugene and Portland areas during the last few weeks. The outbreak began when a person with measles passed through Portland International Airport on Oct. 12, and the new cases developed in passengers on the same Delta flight that landed in Portland from Amsterdam.
The list of potential exposure sites are:
Multnomah County
• Saturday, Oct. 12, 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m., Portland International Airport, Delta Air Lines Inc., Flight 0179 from Amsterdam (AMS) to Portland (PDX).
Lane County
• Monday, Oct. 21, 10:30 a.m.-1 p.m., Creswell Bakery, 182 S. Second St., Creswell
• Monday, Oct. 21, Noon-4 pm, Bier Stein, 1591 Willamette St., Eugene.
• Wednesday, Oct. 23, 4-7 p.m., Blue Mist, 1400 Valley River Drive, Suite 130, Eugene.
• Wednesday, Oct. 23, 6-9 p.m., North Fork Public House, 2805 Shadowview Drive, Eugene.
Washington County
