Food: There are a couple tried and true Chinese places in town. The menus and prices are all comparable, and they have a good mix of mostly Americanized dishes interspersed with authentic ones. Double Happiness is one of those standards. Its lunch menu offers a great deal ($9.50) for a variety of dishes with choice of rice, soup and side (crab puffs or egg roll). I decided on orange chicken, steamed rice and crab puffs with egg flower soup as the starter. Yes, I know orange chicken was created in the ‘80s by Panda Express and is not REAL Chinese food. I like it. No sooner had I looked up this history, the soup arrived, steamy and full of swirly egg and veggies. I will take egg flower soup over chicken noodle any day, and this one was packed with flavor. As soon as I (politely) slurped the last of the broth off my spoon, the meal arrived. A generous and tangy heap of lightly breaded chicken sat next to a neat pile of rice and three crispy crab puffs, all of which were cooked well and tasted predictably good. The amount of food from the lunch menu is still enough for two meals, so make sure you ask for a to-go box.

Service: Speedy! As soon as I walked in, I was offered any booth at the window and a full pot of tea and tall glass of water brought to the table. My food arrived fast, too.

Atmosphere: In a strip mall, the interior has stark white walls with some sporadic art and saloon-style doors that lead to the lounge area.
