Former Bend resident Rachel Lindgren is getting another chance on the “Jeopardy!” stage Tuesday night after placing second in the popular TV quiz show’s tournament of champions last week.

Lindgren, who now lives in Corvallis, got local fame in January 2018 when she competed on “Jeopardy!” for six days straight, taking home $75,000 in the process.

The 28-year-old will be advancing to the semi-finals as a “wild card,” after landing in second place in last week’s competition.

The episode of “Jeopardy,” which airs at 7 p.m. on ABC, tees up three contestants for a half-hour every weekday evening to answer trivia questions. It was recorded mid-September in Culver City, California.

Before moving in mid-October, Lindgren worked as an interpreter for the Sunriver Observatory, where she taught children about astronomy. Before that, she worked as a fire lookout at the Lava Butte fire tower and as a ticket agent at Mt. Bachelor ski area.
