Canadian guitarist Jesse Cook, whose acrobatic mix of flamenco, jazz, African and blues has put him at the forefront of the nuevo flamenco movement and netted him a Juno Award in 2000, will mark the 25th anniversary of his debut album, “Tempest,” next year. Naturally, he’s celebrating with more music: He and his band will play a “Tempest” tour in Canada and beyond next year, but before that, they will return to the Tower Theatre on Tuesday, following performances at the venue in 2016 and 2018. Along with this milestone, Cook continues to forge ahead artistically with 2017’s “Beyond Borders” album — a typically virtuosic set that dabbles in electronica and Middle Eastern motifs — and an accompanying PBS special of the same name, which captured performances from the album’s 2017-18 tour.
Jesse Cook: 8 p.m. Tuesday; $36, $49 or $61 plus theater preservation fee; Tower Theatre, 835 NW Wall St., Bend; towertheatre.org or 541-317-0700.
