Robert and Asta (Rasmussen) Topliff, of Bend, will celebrate their 70th anniversary with their family later in November.

The couple were married Nov. 18, 1949, in Nevada City, California. They have two children, Glenn (and Dana), of Bend, and Janet (and Andrew) Serb, of Lamorinda, California; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Mr. Topliff worked for 42 years as a service manager and auto salesman at McNevin Cadillac in Berkeley, California. Mrs. Topliff, an avid reader, volunteered to help people learn to read.

They enjoyed traveling around the country in their RV and spent several years volunteering at the Visitor Center in Dixie National Forest, Utah.

They have lived in Bend over 20 years.
