The Quick & Easy Boys

After playing the High Gravity Brewfest at McMenamins Old St. Francis School in January, Portland power trio The Quick & Easy Boys will return to Central Oregon to funk-rock The Belfry on Saturday. The group, which formed in Eugene in 2005, welcomed powerhouse drummer Tyrone Hendrix (known for work with Swatkins & The Positive Agenda, Liv Warfield, Bend’s own Gabe Johnson and many more) to the fold last year. His prowess can be felt on “The Ninkasi Sessions,” a stripped-down set of new and old songs touching on ragged rock, country and of course, funk, recorded at Ninkasi Brewery recording studio in Eugene. And fans can look forward to more new music soon, as the band has been teasing its recording sessions with John Neff (Donald Fagen, Walter Becker, Willie Nelson) on its Facebook page.

The Quick & Easy Boys: 8 p.m. Saturday; $12 plus fees in advance; The Belfry, 302 E. Main Ave., Sisters; belfryevents.com.
