A couple of fairly large concert announcements came down the pipeline this week, just in time for the Christmas season. Read on for details.

• So much for the afterglow, because Everclear frontman Art Alexakis will play a solo show at the Domino Room on Dec. 14. The Portland singer and guitarist is touring behind his first solo album, “Sun Songs.” Tickets cost $20 plus fees and are on sale now at midtownbend.com.

• Alternative folk/punk darling Ani DiFranco will get righteous at the Tower Theatre on Feb. 23. The singer-songwriter and owner of Righteous Babe Records released a memoir titled “No Walls and the Recurring Dream” earlier this year; her most recent album, “Binary,” dropped in 2017. Tickets cost $34.50, $47.50 or $59.50 plus a theater preservation fee, and go on sale at 10 a.m. Dec. 6 at towertheatre.org.
