Stolen reclaimed barn wood

I was visiting friends in Bend last weekend and was told by them that they had just found out that their neighbors, Gary and Suzanne Grund, 21925 Bear Creek Rd, Bend, Or, had stolen thousands of dollars of barn wood in the East Bend area in the past few years. They pulled nails out of boards and stripped the barns and farm houses clean. Gary Grund owns his own door making company, Bear Creek Doors. He used the stolen reclaimed wood to make very expensive doors.

I am 79 years old and hate to see these old barns and farm houses being stripped of their wood for greed. I could not believe people would do such things! There has to be older pictures of the missing barns and farm houses. My friends never reported this because they feared retaliation, so more people need to come forward to see that these people are punished.

I have reported this to the Deschutes County Sheriff.
