The House Concert: Coyote Willow

Bend Americana duo Coyote Willow recently performed at The House Concert, offering live video of a few songs from the band’s fifth record, “Embers.”

The band — comprised of married couple Tim Coffey, 65, and cellist/singer Kat Hilst, 62 — was founded in 2010 in Bend when the two met in the local music scene.

Their new album was a few years in the making. The couple had played rough versions of the five songs on “Embers” for a few years before recording them. In late 2019, the duo began workshopping the tracks with Nashville songwriting consultant Kari Estrin. That collaboration took Coyote Willow’s songs to a new level.
