Creed Bratton of “The Office” plays Bend

- Long before Creed Bratton was a cast member of "The Office," he was a member of the '60s band The Grass Roots. On Wednesday, he performs at the Domino Room in Bend.
Fans of the longtime hit TV show “The Office” no doubt know that Dunder Mifflin’s resident weirdo, Creed Bratton, was played by none other than Creed Bratton, a working musician for the past half-century.
Long before he played an enigmatic quality assurance representative on TV, Bratton was a guitarist with The Grass Roots, a Los Angeles-based folk-rock band best known for their hit song “Midnight Confessions.” Bratton left The Grass Roots in 1970, but he has been making music ever since, releasing several solo albums and touring the world.
His latest album, 2020’s “Slightly Altered,” features Bratton’s bluesy take on rock ‘n’ roll, and the tour that’s bringing him to Bend next week promises “an evening of music and comedy” with the man himself.
Creed Bratton: $25; 8 p.m. Wednesday; The Domino Room, 51 NW Greenwood Ave., Bend; midtownballroom.com or 541-408-4329.
