Bend Halloween

Historical walking tours that focus on the spooky and mysterious side of Bend will be available this year just in time for Halloween.

The Deschutes Historical Museum will host the walks for two nights next month, on Oct. 15-16.

Participants are encouraged to bring flashlights and comfortable walking shoes. Each one-hour tour is approximately one mile in length around the downtown area. The tour focuses on Bend’s history and paranormal mystery.

The first tour departs at 4 p.m. and additional tours follow every 20 minutes. Tour space is available on a first-come, first-served basis, with ticket sales starting at 10 a.m. only on the day of the walk.

The tours, which begin at the Deschutes Historical Museum (129 NW Idaho St.), cost $15 per person (adults and children) or $5 for museum members. The museum charges $35 for a household membership.
