A camper trailer burned Thursday morning at Peterson Rock Garden in Redmond.

At 10:34 a.m., an ambulance and a fire engine with Redmond Fire & Rescue were dispatched to a report of a fire at the rock garden site at 7930 SW 77th St. By the time emergency personnel arrived, a neighbor had put water on the fire, though other structures remained at risk, according to Redmond Battalion Chief Ron Hawkins.

“The fire wasn’t too big,” he said. “It was probably not as big a deal as it could have been.”

The trailer, however, which was being used as a person’s primary residence, was a total loss.

A cause of the fire has not yet been determined, Hawkins said.
