LA GRANDE — Interstate 84’s eastbound and westbound lanes are again open in Eastern Oregon, though both were closed for hours Sunday.

The eastbound lanes closed around 1 p.m. Sunday just east of Pendleton after several trucks spun out on the icy road. The westbound lanes had been closed since late Saturday night at Baker City to all traffic because of crashes.

The Oregon Department of Transportation reported around 5 p.m. Sunday that traffic could again roll on the freeway. 

“Winter is here and more mountain snow is expected this week,” ODOT advised. “Before traveling, check current highway conditions.”
