Third Seven will perform at the High Desert Music Hall on Friday night.

Billy Mickelson, a.k.a. Third Seven, is an international touring one-man cello band from Central Oregon. He has played cello music his entire life, but he took his career to the next level in 2008 when he began performing professionally around the world and opening for many acts including TEDx, Murder By Death, The Devil Makes Three, Larry And His Flask, Dirtwire, Beats Antique, and Yard Dogs Road Show, to name just a few.

Third Seven is known for performing at everything from yoga classes to punk rock shows and everything in between, according to his bio. With 31 albums and thousands of performances worldwide, Third Seven continues to have an impact on audiences around the globe.

Mickelson is excited to bring his talents back to Central Oregon this Friday at the High Desert Music Hall in Redmond.

“The High Desert Music Hall is a beautiful venue owned by dear friends of mine, and it is something that Redmond has needed for a very long time,” Mickelson said. “A hub for a music scene and community to really form in Redmond in a dedicated venue, it is truly an elegant space and I look forward to it gaining more and more attention for the local music scene here in Central Oregon.”

Mickelson hopes that his concert will be an open and welcoming space for everyone.

“We are just coming out of this latest Omicron spike and I just want everyone to be able to attend respectfully while still enjoying the show,” he said. “Please be careful and courteous (with) our fellow community as it were.”

Mickelson will be joined by Jeb Draper, a Denver-based folk singer and songwriter. The two musicians have built a close friendship through performing together over the past decade.

“It’s a nostalgic reunion getting him back up here to Central Oregon,” Mickelson said.

Expect “an evening of dramatic stringed soul and movement,” as the event poster reads. “Billy gives a heartfelt and chilling performance you won’t want to miss.”
