Oregon State's Taylor Jones (44) shoots against Oregon's Sedona Prince (32) Sunday, Dec. 13, 2020, in Corvallis. On February 4, 2022, it was announced that Jones will miss the remainder of the season after undergoing shoulder surgery.

Oregon State women’s basketball suffered a blow to its stretch drive as third-year sophomore Taylor Jones is out for the remainder of the season after undergoing shoulder surgery.

First-team all-Pac-12 last season, Jones was averaging 12.4 points and 6.9 rebounds a game this season. Jones hasn’t played in the past six games for the Beavers.

The school announced that the surgery was successful and Jones is expected to return prior to the start of practices for the 2022-23 season.

Jones has started 61 games during her three-year career. Her career shooting percentage of 58.3% ranks 14th among active players in college basketball.

Oregon State (11-5, 4-2 Pac-12) returns to action Friday when the Beavers play Arizona State in Tempe at 5 p.m.
