The transfer of the River’s Edge Golf Course to a group of homeowners associations near the course was finalized last week, completing a deal that was announced in October.

Homeowners near the course settled with former owner Wayne Purcell to transfer ownership of the property. The course was sold to the homeowners for $500,000.

Purcell had earlier intended to sell the property to Pahlisch Homes, which planned to build homes on the course.

Jeff Kramer, a retired lawyer who lives near the golf course and served as the lead plaintiff in the lawsuit to stop the sale to Pahlisch. Kramer confirmed to The Bulletin in an email that the sale to the homeowners was made complete on March 18.
