Bend author Irene Cooper and V. Mello, a local poet and spoken word artist, are collaborating with Erin Reilly of Spork to host Raging Writers, an hourlong writing workshop followed by an open mic.

The first Raging Writers event takes place from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Sunday, continuing one Sunday a month thereafter. The events are free and inclusive.

In related book news, Cooper’s fourth book and second novel, the psychological crime thriller “Found,” is due to be published Oct. 20.
