Anna (Bird) Howe and Tim Howe, of Portland were married Sept. 3 at the Hollinshead Park in Bend. A reception followed.

The bride is the daughter of Wendy McDaniels and Mark Bird, of Joseph, and graduated from Joseph High School in 2010 and went on to get a BA in Journalism at the University of Oregon.

She is a special campaigns officer at the Cultural de Washington County.

The groom is the son of Barbara Smiley and Dave Howe, and is a 2008 graduate of Summit High School in Bend and went on to get a BA in Rhetoric and Media Studies at Lewis and Clark College in 2012 and a MA in Leadership for Sustainability Education from Portland State University in 2023. He is an engagement specialist for Solid Ground Consulting.

The couple honeymooned in Sausalito, San Francisco, and Northern California and will settle in Portland.
