Bend Fire quashes suspected arson fire

Bend Fire & Rescue put out a suspected arson fire early Friday morning at 720 NW Florida Ave. in Bend.

Firefighters were dispatched to the property at 5:46 a.m. and on arrival found brush and vegetation on fire. They put out the fire, which did not damage any nearby buildings or vehicles, then determined the fire was set intentionally.

Bend Police Department is now conducting an investigation.
