The Sisters Ranger District of the Deschutes National Forest will host a public open house March 15. A range of upcoming activities planned by the district will be presented to the public during the event.

The open house will run from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Sisters-Camp Sherman Fire Hall located at 301 S. Elm St., Sisters. Doors open at 5 p.m.

District Ranger Ian Reid and other staff members will be available to discuss the forest management plan with the public. Topics of discussion will include vegetation management in the Green Ridge and Cougar Rock areas, recreation program updates including trails and campgrounds, and anticipated prescribed burning plans.
