After a hiatus due to the pandemic, the Central Oregon Community College Foundation’s premier fundraiser, Meal of the Year, returns at 5:30 p.m. April 8. The gala will take place in the Bend campus’ Mazama Gym.

The meal will be prepared by Bandon Dunes Golf Resort, with dessert prepared by COCC students in the Cascade Culinary Institute. A raffle, live auction and whiskey lounge will also be part of the event.

This fundraiser is a major source of scholarship funding for the college, and attendees will have the opportunity to hear from a student about the personal impact scholarships have. The Bend Foundation, a long-time supporter of the college, will also be honored at the event.

Individual tickets are $150 and 10-seat tables are available. The COCC Foundation was founded in 1955 and the Meal of the Year fundraiser has been running since 1978.
