The Oregon High Desert Storm, a professional arena football team, will open its training camp for the coming season at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at Mountain View Park in Bend.

The camp is open to the public to get an up-close look at the team.

The High Desert Storm, of the American West Football Conference, returns to Central Oregon for its third season.

The team will have its third coach in as many years. Chuck Jones, who played for the Storm the last two seasons, is the new head coach.

The first game of the season is scheduled for 7 p.m. April 1 against the Sin City Govs of Las Vegas. The game will be held at the First Interstate Bank Center at the Deschutes County Fair & Expo Center in Redmond.
