- Bend-based Puffin Drinkwear, a line of personality-infused apparel for your drink to wear, was recently ranked as the eighth fastest-growing startup in the Pacific Region by Inc. Magazine.
Inc. Magazine has ranked Bend-based Puffin Drinkwear eighth on its list of fastest-growing companies in the Pacific region.
The company, which produces unique koozie clothing for drinks, made the list of the magazine’s third annual Inc. Regionals: Pacific List, which highlights the 185 fastest-growing private companies in the Pacific region based in Alaska, Hawaii, California, Oregon and Washington. In order for a company to be considered for this list it must apply before the October deadline each year and pay a $245 application fee.
Puffin Drinkwear’s growth rate of about 559% between 2019 and 2021 contributed to the ranking, and the brand has expanded its retail presence to locations such as Bass Pro Shops, Scheels, Cabela’s, Dillard’s, L.L. Bean and Public Lands. This expansion has resulted in increased annual revenues, according to the company.
Founder Tyrone Hazen said the employees are proud of the rapid growth and Puffin’s stance in the outdoor industry. The company has plans to launch more designs this spring and fall.
