Central Oregon outdoors and trail conditions
Published 4:00 pm Thursday, May 18, 2023
- A line of surfers waits for a turn on the standing wave in Bend.
It’s going to be a hot weekend with a chance of scattered thunderstorms in Central Oregon. Keep cool by seeking water to splash around in, fish, hike near or just relax by.
If your favorite spot or river is crowded, try someplace new. Just remember the sunscreen and plenty of water, and watch for changes in the weather.
The Paulina Lake Road is open, while Cascade Lakes Highway remains closed until Tuesday.
