Mid Oregon Credit Union, in partnership with Family Access Network, launched its annual school-supplies fundraiser for Central Oregon youth Tuesday, according to a press release from the credit union.

Throughout August, community members can drop off school supplies and financial donations at Mid Oregon locations in Bend, Madras, Redmond, La Pine, Prineville and Sisters. Donations can also be made online at midoregon.com.

Donations and supplies stay in local communities to help the children who live there. Mid Oregon Credit Union has been running the drive for more than 20 years.

Specifically requested items include highlighters, backpacks in all sizes, water bottles, mechanical pencils and lead, colored pencils, 3-inch binders, pencil sharpeners and college-ruled spiral notebooks.
