The air in Bend has turned chilly, which means it’s already time to get stoked for ski and snowboard season. In a few short months, it will be Mt. Bachelor’s opening day, slated for Nov. 24.

Until then, there’s “Legend Has It,” Teton Gravity Research’s (TGR) 28th annual ski and snowboard film, showing three times at Bend’s Tower Theatre on Saturday.

The film features Bend athletes Sage Cattabriga-Alosa and Tim Durtschi, among other elite riders in Patagonia, the California Sierra, Pakistan and Jackson Hole as they contend with the record-breaking storm cycles of last year’s snow season.

Co-founder of TGR Todd Jones said, “This year’s annual film taps into these legendary tales — be it mythical storm cycles, heroic feats, or whispers of fantastical terrain.”

The event includes a matinee, an early evening show and a late show. Doors open 30 minutes ahead of the matinee and 45 minutes ahead of the other two showings.
