Sections of the Millican Plateau and North Millican Off Highway Vehicle Trail System will be closed Oct. 20-22 for an annual off-road side-by-side vehicle race sponsored by King of the Kastle LLC. The course itself, as well as several entry points, will be closed for safety.

Security will be placed at several entrances, and traffic guards and signs will be present along George Millican Road and at entrance points.

The Millican Plateau, North Millican, and South Millican Off Highway Vehicle Trails System, located roughly 20 miles east of Bend, include more than 250 miles of trails, so though some will be closed for the race, others will be open to the public.

Officials advised using the South Millican trail, which is south of U.S. Highway 20 from George Millican Road, as well as the Cline Buttes area, which is west of Redmond. Both will be open to the public during the race.
