White Abarrio wins $6M Breeders’ Cup Classic
White Abarrio won the $6 million Breeders’ Cup Classic by a length. Ridden by Irad Ortiz Jr., White Abarrio ran 1¼ miles in 2:02.87. The gray colt paid $7.20 to win. White Abarrio was moved to trainer Rick Dutrow’s barn. Derma Sotogake finished second, and Proxy was third.

Focal point of Michigan investigation quits
Connor Stalions, the low-level Michigan football staffer at the center of an NCAA investigation into impermissible scouting of opponents and sign stealing, has resigned. Stalions failed to show up for a hearing Friday and declined to participate in any investigations.

American skater lands first Grand Prix win
Isabeau Levito’s quest for a first Grand Prix victory is over. The 16-year-old American figure skater won the Grand Prix de France on Saturday. Levito beat Nina Pinzarrone of Belgium. Rion Sumiyoshi of Japan was third.
