Alaska Airlines adds nonstop Portland-Nashville flights

Alaska Airlines said Thursday it would add nonstop flights between Portland and Nashville early next year.
The daily, year-round service will begin March 14. Alaska will be the only airline with flights between the the two cities.
“We know there’s a strong desire by our guests for an easier way to travel between Portland and Nashville,” Kirsten Amrine, Alaska’s vice president of revenue management and network planning, said in a statement. “Our new flight will link a pair of exciting regions that both have wide-ranging, festive entertainment and sports scenes as well as growing business centers.”
Outbound flights from Portland will take off at 9 a.m., arriving in Nashville at 3:20 p.m. local time. Returning flights will leave Nashville at 4:25 p.m. and arrive in Portland at 7:35 p.m.
Nashville is Alaska Airlines’ 53rd nonstop destination from Portland International Airport, where Alaska is by far the largest carrier.
