- Fractal, pictured, and Watkins Glen will play an Upper Deschutes Watershed Council benefit Saturday at the Domino Room.
Around this time last year, the popular local jamtronica band Fractal played a show at the Domino Room to raise funds for a good cause: music education for young people.
It went so well, they’re doing it again, except this time the beneficiary will be the Upper Deschutes Watershed Council, which aims to protect and restore the Deschutes River and its tributaries.
Joining Fractal on the bill will be local rock ‘n’ roll heavies Watkins Glen, who pay tribute to the Allman Brothers Band, the Grateful Dead, The Band and Little Feat alongside their own originals and improvised jams.
Along with several other local businesses, the 2nd Annual Holiday Benefit Jam is sponsored by Zen Art Ink Studios and Parallel 44 Presents. It’s open to people 21 and older.
So head to the Domino Room Saturday to dance the night away and help our local rivers. “Local businesses, local bands (and a) local nonprofit,” summarized Fractal percussionist Jarrod Donatelli, “working together to help our local community!”
The 2nd Annual Holiday Benefit Jam, with Fractal and Watkins Glen: 8 p.m. Saturday, doors open 7 p.m., $15 at eventbrite.com, Domino Room, 51 NW Greenwood Ave., Bend, midtownballroom.com.
