Peter H. Gulick

June 1, 1933 – November 29, 2023

Peter H. Gulick peacefully passed away at his home in Bend, Oregon, on November 29th, 2023. Peter was born to Lilian and Edwards Leeds Gulick in Phoenix, Arizona, in 1933, the youngest of three children. He grew up in Massachusetts and spent summers at the Aloha Camps in Fairlee, VT.Peter attended Deerfield Academy, followed by Dartmouth College. He spent 2 years with the New Hampshire Air National Guard. A graduate degree from the Thayer School of Engineering at Dartmouth College followed. Peter married Sue Spaulding from Worcester, Mass in 1956. They had four children. In 1965, he accepted a two year assignment in France that turned into an exciting 32 years in Europe. In 1995, they returned to the US and settled in Bend. Sue passed away in 1999. In 2002, he met Kathy Hoffman, the second love of his life. The two shared a love of family and warmly welcomed 8 more grandchildren between them. Soon, Kathy was embraced as the loving grandmother and matriarch of the Gulick clan. Peter and Kathy loved to travel and spent winters in Queenstown, New Zealand. They enjoyed many common interests including sports, time at Elk Lake, and Bridge.Peter will be greatly missed by his four children, Cynthia, Stephen, Katherine, and Kenneth Gulick and their spouses, by his ten grandchildren and by his partner, Kathy Hoffman, and her two sons, their spouses, as well as her two grandchildren. Sadie, his furry companion will miss their daily walks.Services will be held in the summer of 2024 at the Aloha Camps in Fairlee, Vermont.
